The Importance of AC Condensers in Ohio

You are probably extremely grateful for the presence of your air conditioner on a hot humid day. What you probably don’t know is how your air conditioner works and that there is one little piece called the AC condenser that is essential to the function of your air conditioning unit. Without your condenser, you wouldn’t have an air conditioner.

What Is the AC Condenser?

AC condensers are at the very core of your air conditioning system. It is a device that works like the radiator in your car. If you peek into your engine bay, you will see that your AC condenser is even situated right in front of your radiator. Refrigerant gas enters the AC condenser and releases the heat that is absorbed from the cabin of your vehicle. The refrigerant is a gas when it is circulating through your vehicle and then turns into a liquid when it enters the condenser and cools. Once it has reached a liquid form, the refrigerant is passed through an expansive valve and re-enters the cabin of your vehicle as a gas. In other words, it is responsible for your entire air conditioning system being able to work.

Choosing the Right Material for Your Condenser

When you are shopping for AC condensers in Ohio, you want to make sure that you purchase one that is going to be durable and will last throughout your truck’s lifetime. Most condensers are made from copper, brass, or aluminum. All three are great options for cooling your truck. However, aluminum is the most corrosion-resistant and likely to last the longest without needing to be repaired. Aluminum AC condensers also tend to be the cheapest option when you are making the purchase, and you are likely to find a wide variety of them on the market.
